Who we are
Sweep is made by Tarun Girish, an individual developer based in Texas, USA (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the Sweep app and this website handle, and why. Questions? Email tarun@sweep.it.com.
Information stored on your device
Sweep is built to work on your device. The following stays on your iPhone or iPad (and, when Apple Watch support launches, your paired Apple Watch). We don’t receive it:
- Tasks and schedules: your task feed, Calendar entries, Maintenance items and their due dates.
- Before and after photos: photos you take with Sweep to show a task is done.
- Progress: rewards, achievements and completed tasks.
- Settings: things like your appearance preference.
Sensitive data, such as your sign-in credentials, is kept in secure storage on your device (Apple’s Keychain). Because this data lives only on your device, deleting Sweep deletes it, and we can’t recover it for you.
Camera
Sweep asks for camera access only so you can take before and after photos of tasks. It doesn’t use the camera for anything else, and you can turn off access at any time in iOS Settings › Sweep.
Sign in with Apple
When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives the app a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (which may be a private relay address). This information is stored on your device and is used to set up your account in the app. You can stop using Sign in with Apple for Sweep at any time in iOS Settings › your name › Sign-In & Security › Sign in with Apple.
Crash and usage information from Apple
We don’t include any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools. If you’ve agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregated usage statistics through App Store Connect. These help us fix bugs and don’t identify you to us.
If you join the beta through TestFlight, Apple shares certain tester information with us, such as the email address you were invited with (if any), your device model and iOS version, crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. We use this only to improve Sweep. Apple’s handling of this information is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Email updates from this website
If you enter your email address on our website, we use it only to tell you when Sweep is available on the App Store and to share occasional product updates. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us to be removed. Your address is stored with the service we use to collect signups and send email, and is never sold or shared for marketing.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent personal information.
- We don’t show ads or share data with advertisers.
- We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Your choices and rights
Most of your Sweep data is under your direct control: you can edit or delete tasks and photos in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. For anything we hold, like your email address, you can ask us to access, correct or delete it by emailing tarun@sweep.it.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.
Children
Sweep isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Sweep handles information, for example by adding sync or new features, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. For significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
